Primary Impact

Feed material enters through the top of the crusher and falls into the path of the spinning rotor. Blow bars mounted on the rotor strike the material at 25–40 m/s tip speed, fracturing it through instantaneous energy transfer. Secondary Reduction

Fragments launched from the rotor collide with the primary apron (impact plate) at high velocity.
